Vellore Institute of Technology is a well-known private institution located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in the year 1984 and has since grown to become one of India’s premier technical universities.

Admission Procedure

Undergraduate Admission

1. Online Application: Visit the official website and fill out the online application form. Provide the required personal and academic details.
2. Slot Booking: After submitting the application for, you will receive a link to book your exam slot. VIT conducts its own entrance exam.
3. VITEEE: On the scheduled date, you need to appear for the VITEEE exam at one of the designated centers. The exam assesses your knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology and English.
4. Result and Counseling: Once the results are announced, shortlisted students will be called for counseling based on their ranks.
5. Document verification and Admission:  Selected candidates need to verify their documents, such as academic certificates, identity proof, and other relevant documents. Pay the admission fee to confirm your seat and complete the admission process.

Post-graduate Admission

1. Online Application: Visit the official website and fill out the online application form. Provide the required personal and academic details.
2. Entrance exams or GATE scores: Depending upon the program, you have to appear for an entrance exam conducted by VIT or submit a valid GATE  score.
3. Result and Counseling: Based on the GATE results, students are shortlisted and  will be called for counseling based on their ranks.
